How To Make A Wire Wrapped Button Ring Tutorial

Want to be your own Jewelry Designer?

How to make rings..wire wrapped button rings..

I couldn't wait to show this tutorial with you once I made this ring.  It turned out adorable!  It's so much fun being your own jewelry designer!

All you need is:
  • 18 gauge artistic wire (I am using silver plated wire)
  • button (not too big)
  • needle nose pliers
  • mandrel

  1. First what you need to do is cut a piece of wire about 2'
  2. Insert wire through top two holes in button like it shows in the photo.
  3. Then, flatten wire on back of button to make a straight line.
  4. Wrap wire around mandrel.  You should start wrapping an inch larger than the size you want.  After twisting and tightening the wire, the ring will shrink in size.  So if you want to make a size 7, start wrapping at the size 8 mark.
  5. Wrap on each side of button 2x.
  6. Take wire off mandrel, hold end of wire and wrap across like so in pic.  Wrapping around wire 2 to 3 times then cut with pliers.
  7. Now do the same to the other side and cut.
  8. Now mend your ends by using the flat part of the pliers.
  9. Last put the ring back on the mandrel as far as it will go to get back in shape.
  10. Tada!  Your done!

Now, go get started being a jewelry designer!

Bringing it back to the Barbie Doll days..

Do you ever wish you could put together an outfit without being at the mall and wearing yourself out?

I found a new website called, Polyvore that I am just a little obsessed with... a little..

You can put together outfits by scrolling through thousands of shirts, dresses, pants, accessories, shoes, jackets and more, then dragging them to a blank canvas.  You can share them to Pinterest or anywhere else.

For you girls who like to put together ideas, this is so for you!  Here are a couple examples of what I have done tonight.  So fun...eeek.

Peanut Butter Balls Recipe aka BuckEyes!

Peanut Butter Balls aka "Buckeyes"

So today I thought I would share with you a wonderful recipe that my husband adores and so does my two boys.  These taste like Reece's Cups squished and rolled into balls but we are making them from scratch!

What you will need:

4 cups of confectioners sugar
2 teaspoons of vanilla
2 cups of creamy peanut butter
1 1/2 cups of butter
3 square's of semi-sweet baking chocolate

1.) First, you will need to combine the peanut butter, sugar, vanilla and butter in a large mixing bowl.  Mix together and you will notice the consistency is a little less dense than dough.  I used my mixer for this.

2.) Next you will need to keep your hands dusted with confectioners sugar for a less sticky experience..  Use a tablespoon to scoop out the mixture and then roll into balls using your powdered sugared hands.

3.) Then you will place each ball onto wax paper or aluminum foil and into the refrigerator for around 15-30 minutes to harden a bit.

4.) While you are waiting on the PB Balls to harden, take your chocolate squares and heat them in a bowl for 30 sec at a time and mixing in between until completely melted.

5.) Now, take the PB Balls out of the refrigerator and dip half into the chocolate sauce, then lay it back down on the wax paper.  After completing all of the PB Balls, put back in the refrigerator for another 20 minutes to harden the chocolate.

Now....go get a huge glass of milk because these babies are rich!  Happy eating!

Are you like me?  I spend countless hours a week surfing the net trying to find someway somehow I could make a living using the Internet.

I Google everyday different keywords, read different post and find new blogs on how to produce income from blogs, websites, etc.  So far, I have yet to live my dream.  It's kinda aggravating because you are not sure which sites are spam or safe.

I know I'm not the only one out there..  I love my children and husband so much and they are enough to keep me determined and focused.  But I have to say sometimes I feel like I'm swimming in circles on here.

I know there are affiliate programs, ad space, product reviews, pay per post, etc.  But so far nothing has worked for me.  To be honest, I have had this blog for a year now and have only made $7.00 from advertising.

Does any of my fellow bloggers have any suggestions or advise?  I would greatly appreciate it and so would my family.

So, this post comes from having a very nice long vacation that I have had because of Christmas and New Year.  I have had off from work 12 days!  I have enjoyed every second of it.  I feel like I have been a stay at home mother.  My house is and I am well rested, no stress.  I work at a very stressful Doctor's office that is short handed and underpaid.  So..enough venting, and now I'm off to do some more researching!  Good Night and Happy New Year 2012!

Thanks for listening.

Re-cycle Jewelry Website Search!

I have been looking for websites where I can search for pre-owned jewelry which I plan on demolishing and giving new life using the "Curry" touch.

So I thought I would share this website called

It mainly searches Craigslist and Ebay Classifieds for jewelry only.  It searches all over the United States and not just your local city like Craigslist only allows.

Check it out!  I have, I found many many awesome finds!  Great way to recycle jewelry, go green!
